Service Overview

General info: Getting around the Valley without a car.

Snoqualmie Valley Transportation (SVT) is a private, non-profit bus company that performs both demand response and fixed-route service to the general public in the Snoqualmie Valley.

The services provided by SVT are paid for by WSDOT, The Snoqualmie Tribe, King County Metro Transit, and the Mt. Si Senior Center with help from the City of Snoqualmie and the City of North Bend. We operate small, 10-to-12 passenger buses. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

We operate Monday through Friday. Bus services are not offered on weekends or major holidays. Check the Rider Alerts page on our website for the most up-to-date schedules and service alerts.

Four Types of Service

Fixed Route

This two-way service uses local bus stops and travels along the same route each Monday through Friday on a pre-set schedule. The Valley Shuttle is a fixed route service that allows you to travel from North Bend to Duvall (through Snoqualmie, Fall City and Carnation) every 90 minutes, M-F from 5:30 AM to 9:15 PM.

Demand Response

“Demand-response” means it’s a non-fixed route that requires advance scheduling by the rider. Also referred to as a shared-ride service, the daily routes vary and are generated by calls from our riders. Typically, the vehicle will be dispatched to pick-up several customers at different pick-up points before taking them to their respective destinations and may be interrupted on the route to these destinations to pick up other customers.

Call 3-5 days in advance whenever possible to book your ride. Our schedulers group customers together based on time and space availability with preference given to people with urgent medical needs, seniors and individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to meet our rider’s needs as closely as possible, while still being cost-effective. This service is available to the general public and there are no application or eligibility requirements. We will refer customers to use fixed route or Loop service first and foremost if it is available and accessible.

Make sure you familiarize yourself with our No Show Policy.

Same-day ride requests are accommodated on a space-available basis.

Loop Routes

SVT currently operates three circulator routes called the DOWNTOWN LOOP, CEDAR FALLS LOOP, and the new SNOQUALMIE RIDGE LOOP.  Like fixed route service these routes operate on a regular schedule but the service is a one-way service – it travels one-way in a loop – and may deviate to accommodate other riders.

Senior Ride Program

Local volunteers use their own cars, on their own time, to transport persons 60 years of age or older who are unable to drive or use regular transit to reach medical appointments. For more information about this program contact the SVT Office at 425-888-7001
