To help Washington State fight the spread of the novel coronavirus and the COVID-19 illness it causes, Governor Jay Inslee issued a statewide order March 23 to residents, calling on them to stay home, stay safe.
The order requires residents to avoid all public gatherings and eliminate all non-essential exposure to the public, while designating several key industries as essential to day-to-day operations of the state and its residents.
Public transportation is among the essential services that are allowed to continue operating under this order, since many workers are unable to work from home and must travel to and from their job sites.
