Services Overview

Snoqualmie Valley Transportation (SVT) is a private, non-profit bus company that performs both regular route and door-to-door service for the general public in the Snoqualmie Valley.

The services provided by SVT are paid for by WSDOT, The Snoqualmie Tribe, King County Metro Transit, and the Mt. Si Senior Center with help from the City of Snoqualmie, the City of North Bend, and other grants and donors.

We operate small, 10-to-14 passenger buses and all are wheelchair accessible. Buses operate seven days a week, except for major holidays.

Types of Service

Regular Routes

These routes use local bus stops or pre-determined locations and travel along the same route or line each day on a regular set schedule.  These routes travel in a “loop”.  From time to time, they may briefly deviate to accommodate other riders but will always return to their route and will keep their scheduled stops.

Door-to-Door

These are non-fixed routes that require advance scheduling by the rider. Also referred to as a shared-ride service, the daily routes vary and are generated by calls from our riders. Typically, the vehicle will be dispatched to pick-up several riders at different pick-up points before taking them to their respective destinations and may be interrupted on the route to these destinations to pick-up or drop-off other riders.

This service is available to the general public and there are no application, eligibility, or destination requirements. Preference is given to people with urgent medical needs, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to meet our rider’s needs as closely as possible, while still being cost-effective. Call 3-5 days in advance whenever possible to book your ride. Our schedulers group customers together based on time and space availability. We will refer customers to use fixed route or Loop service first and foremost if it is available and accessible.

Senior Ride Program

Local volunteers use their own cars and their own time to transport persons 60 years of age or older who are unable to drive or use regular transit to reach medical appointments in Issaquah, Bellevue, and Seattle. Volunteers are limited and this service is currently restricted to riders who live in North Bend, Snoqualmie, and Fall City. For more information about this program contact the SVT Office at 425-888-7001.
